The Love Junkies

The Love Junkies are a 4-piece music machine out of Detroit, Michigan. They deliver a tight punchy rock sound with a tender slap of that funky soul. The Love Junkies have built a reputation as a great live band. Their performances are exciting, highly energetic and always involve the audience. Though the show includes some tight choreography, every night with The Love Junkies brings an element of surprise to the stage.

Johnny

The front man. A riveting singer and a whirling dervish of stage aerobatics! Lead vocals, guitar and harmonica.

Lucky

Lead guitar, backing vocals and the bands artist. A truly gifted individual who knows how to connect his skill to any given situation.

Dr. Doug

Ph. D…in Groovology with honors from the University of Love. Bass and vocals. A musicians' musician and a cosmic technician.

Super-D has been bangn’ on the drums for some 35 years. When you want to hear that snappin’ snare or feel the pounding of that kick, just pay attention to what is going on behind that kit. You may notice that sound of a cool funk groove, that straight forward rock beat that’s as steady as a spider awaiting it’s prey. Whatever the style, SUPER-D does it with passion.

You’ll notice that there is no hiding behind a wall of drums. But, because of the four individual points of interaction from his body to the kit, it sure sounds like that wall is there.

SUPER-D has performed with some excellent groups in the Metro Detroit area. Beginning with his first garage band E.T. Chase, River City Band, The Gold Band, Legal Tender, Impact-featuring Mark Levice, Jester, TK Scott Band, & Just Jill. And now The Love Junkies have made him the hardest working drummer in the area. But you know what? It is so worth it, These guys really know how to ROCK!
